A loan helped to buy flour, sugar, honey, and other ingredients for making bread.

Rocío Emperatriz's story

Rocío Emperatriz A. G. is 20 years old and lives in the municipality of Soyapango, together with her husband and one year-old daughter. Rocío has her own bakery, where she makes the bread and then sells it. She sells from her house, which is where her bakery is located, and at her customers' homes, where she goes to deliver the bread. She is lucky to have many customers who order large quantities of bread and are faithful to her business.

Rocío is requesting a loan to make it possible for her to buy flour wholesale, which will be cheaper. Likewise, she will buy wholesale butter, sugar, honey, yeast, and other ingredients, all of which are important for breadmaking. Despite the fact that it has been difficult to move her business forward, she has remained firm in her desire to grow as a small businesswoman in order to offer her daughter a better future.
