A loan of $475 helped to spend 37,500 Kenyan shillings to prepare land for planting potatoes.

Kipas Ole's story

Kipas Ole K. is 37 years old. He is married to Everline K. and a father of three school-going children. Kipas is a farmer on his own piece of land. He has been farming for the last 10 years.

He learned about KADET from other members in a group already registered with KADET in his area of residence. This will be his second loan, which he is planning to spend to prepare land for planting potatoes. Potatoes have been doing well in his area due to good climatic conditions. He hopes to use the profit from the proceeds of this loan to expand his farming activity from small-scale to commercial farming.

Kipas' dream is do large-scale farming and start dairy farming. He is a hardworking man who is determined to achieve his set goals.
