A loan of $375 helped to purchase more groceries for her store.

Teresa's story

Teresa is a 43-year old mother who lives with her husband and children in the Chacupe Bajo section of the district of La Victoria. This is a rural area, located ½ hour from the district of Chiclayo.

For the past two years, she has dedicated herself to selling basic needs products and groceries from a store located in her house. The business is very busy, as it is the only one like it in the zone. In addition, she raises and sells small livestock. With the income she generates, she helps her husband cover the family’s expenses.

Teresa would like to expand her business by buying more groceries with which to supply her store and, therefore, increase her earnings. For this reason, she has requested her first loan of 1,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa in order to meet her goal.

Teresa is a calm and responsible woman. Her greatest wish is to continue to grow as an entrepreneur in order to improve her family’s standard of living.
