A loan of $2,975 helped a member to buy stock items for her store.

Las Pascuas Group's story

Mrs. Vicenta X., 40, is married. She has nine sons and three daughters. Vicenta is enterprising in order to prepare a better future for her children. She raises small farm animals and tends to a small grocery store she’s managed to have for over ten years.

Vicenta noted that she had to better stock the store in order to improve sales and support her community offering what they need for daily consumption without having to go all the way up to town which is quite distant. This way she is able to earn a few more profits.

She, therefore, gathered together a few friends and neighbors that she has known for over 12 years to form a group because she tries to help not just her own family but also other people in the village.

Each of them is engaged in a different type of activity, such as: fruit sales, small animal raising, clothes making, notions sales, etc.

In this group: Blanca Estela , Edit Isabel , Vicenta , Tomasa , Cupertina , Rosenda , Tiburcia , Esteban , Margarita , Apolonia , Cristina Lool , Carmen Alejandrina
