A loan of $1,075 helped buying sacks of fertilizer for his corn crops.

Abel's story

Abel, age 25, is a handsome and hard-working man who is dedicated to the well-being of his family. He lives with his parents, Manuel, age 75, and Alejandría, age 63, in their own house located in the town of Huaracayo. For the past three years, he has worked buying and selling corn, a business which has been quite profitable for him. For this work, he travels to the capital every week; there, he negotiates the sale of his own corn harvest and that which he is selling for the farmers of his area. But like a good son, Abel also practices what his parents taught him, which is growing corn and peas, since he learned from childhood how to work the soil and live from it. Now his desire is to work transporting merchandise from city to city, helping microentrepreneurs to distribute their products throughout the country. For this purpose, he is saving up a considerable sum of money so that he can buy his own truck and achieve greater profitability. This is his tenth loan with MFP, and now he can invest without obstacles. He knows that with this he will obtain greater earnings, and he is grateful to his communal bank for the support it has provided to him. With the loan he will obtain, he will buy numerous sacks of compost and fertilizer, which he will use on the corn he is growing, since very soon it will be time to harvest this crop.
