Zoraida Genoveva
Zoraida is 60 years old and is a stylist and personal hairdresser. She lives just outside of Guayaquil (a semiurban area, in the environs of a salty estuary).

Zoraida worked in a beauty salon for thirty years, but she wanted to become independent and make her own money. She invested her savings in stylist products and advertised her services to neighbors and acquaintances. Little by little, with effort and patience, she acquired a fixed clientele. Today Zoraida does hairstyling, makeup, and haircuts from her home.

With the loan proceeds, she will purchase zinc, cement and sand for construction of a home in which she will locate her business. In the future, she would like to have her own beauty salon and make improvements to her home.
