A loan of $1,075 helped purchase merchandise to stock her shop.

Rosa's story

Rosa, 52, lives in her own home in the company of her husband, José (55, a mechanic), and their young children. They work together each day in search of progress. 5 years ago Rosa installed a grocery store in her home, and little by little over time she stocked it with goods. She offers lollies, groceries, soft drinks, beer, and some stationery items; without doubt it is one of the best stocked shops in the zone. Rosa feels very proud of her business because of this. She says that she really likes working as it allows her to obtain good earnings without neglecting her household work; but what she doesn't like is that often she can't go out. However, when she does, her children help her attend to the business. She affirms with much conviction that in the future she wants to improve her shop fittings so she can offer greater comfort to her customers. This is Rosa's sixth loan with MFP and she promises to punctually make her repayments, as she doesn't want to have a bad relationship with the people that have made possible the money which she uses to continue working in search of progress. Rosa plans to invest the loan in the purchase of a greater quantity of merchandise to better stock her shop.
