A loan of $1,000 helped to expand her business selling Chinese noodles and coffee as well as for her farm.


Solat's story

Mrs. Solat S. and her husband, Mr. Sam-At Kong, are farmers. They have been married since 1979 and have three sons and three daughters. They live about fifteen kilometers from Phnom Penh.


The couple grows bananas and flowers on their farmland in the village. Besides farming, Solat also sells Chinese noodles and coffee in front of her house. She has obtained a Kiva loan through MAXIMA several times already. She now is requesting another loan of 1,000 USD not only to expand her business selling Chinese noodles and coffee but to continue her farming business as well.
