A loan of $375 helped to buy manure and pea seed.

Teodolinda's story

Teodolinda, 29, is a brave, hard working woman. She is a single mother of two children, Paola, 8, and Renzo, 6. They live in a rented house in Chiras.
In order to provide them with education and the comforts they deserve, Teodolinda is engaged in several activities. One is raising animals like cows and pigs. She feeds and cares for them until they are fat and then sells them to merchants in neighboring areas like Huasahuasi.

Another activity is farming. She grows peas, potatoes and corn alongside a girl friend. The friend puts in the field and Teodolinda the farming supplies. When the crops mature they sell them in the city’s central market and they share the profits.

Later on she is planning to buy a larger amount of animals and to buy farmland in order to grow her crops by herself. She is sure that profits obtained will make it possible for her to buy a house of her own.

This is her 6th loan with MFP. She likes to work with the communal bank a lot because she can share ideas; she knows that united they can all get ahead.

She will use the loan to buy manure for the potato crops as well as pea seed.
