A loan of $375 helped to enlarge her business buying more animals and nutritionally balanced feed for them.

Teresa Isabel's story

Teresa, 59, is married and has a dependent son. She lives with her family in Mochumí district which is a farming area in Lambayeque province located forty minutes from the city of Chiclayo. She has raised small farm animals for sale for the past five years in her backyard. She sells them to merchants who come by the area frequently. She also sells red meats in her home that she buys in the town’s market. She sometimes offers for sale meat from the animals she raises too. Income from these activities helps her husband, who is a farmer, to cover family expenses. Teresa wants to enlarge her business buying more animals and nutritionally balanced feed to expand her business. To do so she is asking Edpyme Alternativa for her first, 1000 new sol, loan. She is quite a calm woman who is dedicated to her family. Her greatest wish is to see her family progress and enjoy a better quality of life.
