Manuel Ascencio Padilla Group's story

The “Manuel Ascencio Padilla” Communal Association is starting its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer since it is a new group that is part of the Los Andes Community Center. This group consists of twelve members who are involved in various businesses such as mobile phone sales, a locksmith shop, general store, bakery, weaving blankets, potato sales, manufacturing overalls, fruit sales, weaving sweaters and scarves, vegetable sales, food sales, and weaving articles of clothing.

Sra. Julia is the group president. She indicates that she is involved in different businesses. Julia has a neighborhood store in her home that is managed by her children. She also has a formal fruit stand near the edge of El Alto and produces woven blankets. Julia manages the last two businesses by herself. She is requesting a loan of 1000 BOB and hopes the money will boost her businesses.
