A loan of $1,000 helped purchase basic food products.

Maria Elena's story

Doña Elena C. S. is 35 years old and lives with her husband. She works as a merchant and has a daughter who is in school. Doña Elena started her small store ten years ago so that she could get ahead and have her own formal business. Her mother provided her with a place where she could begin selling basic food products. Every day she manages her business between the hours of 6am and 10pm. Elena says the best way to attract customers is to provide good service and always do it with a smile. In return, her customers do the same. She feels happy to be helping with the expenses of her family, since they are the most important thing in her life.

Doña Elena has been working with FAPE for several years and believes she can grow even more this time. For this reason, she is requesting a larger loan to invest in the purchase of more food products. Sra. Elena has demonstrated that she is a very responsible person and says she hopes to demonstrate her appreciation to FAPE.
