Orquideas San Jose Group's story

This group is called “Orquídeas de San José” (St. Joseph’s Orchids) so called because the group President likes orchids very much and she mentioned this to the group members. They agreed and that’s why it’s called that. It is located in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, México. It has 12 members.

Mrs. Verónica M. Mejía, 28, is group President. She finished middle school and she makes and sells crafts. She started her business about three years ago and is asking for funds to invest in her business so that it will grow and to provide a better quality of life for her daughter and her family in general.

Mrs. Rosa Matilde Rodríguez T. is another member of the group. She is 39 years old and finished middle school. She is in a common law relationship and has two children who are 15 and 10 years of age. The oldest is a boy and the youngest is a girl.

Rosa Matilde sells fruits and vegetables, a business she started about 5 years ago. She is asking for funds to invest in the business hoping it will grow so that she will be able to provide her children with a better quality of life. They are the reason she tries so hard to get ahead making the best possible effort in the world.
