A loan of $300 helped purchase a pump to draw water from wells and irrigate crops.

Daniel's story

Daniel, 43, is a father who lives in Insculas, an agricultural region that belongs to the Lambayeque province, which is located more than an hour and 45 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. He has worked for over 5 years in agriculture. On one side, he has a small field in which he usually plants lemons. In addition, raises animals to sell to dealers who often visit the area. With this work, Daniel helps his family get ahead and tries to give them a better quality of life. Daniel wants to buy a pump in order to irrigate his crops more efficiently, since water for farming use is scarce in his area and people generally rely on wells for irrigation. Over the last few months, Daniel has been saving money and he is now requesting a loan for 800 soles (USD 300) from Edpyme Alternativa, which he hopes will satisfy the total amount of money he needs to complete his goal. Daniel is an entrepreneurial person with a strong desire to succeed. His greatest desire is to continue growing as a business person and to harvest good crops, ensuring his family’s livelihood.
