Her husband is a professional in the construction industry where he has worked as a mason for several years. And, with her husband's experience in building and working, they have built their own home together.

Silvia embroiders skirts (traditional dress) for a living. She has worked at this business for eleven years, and it was her aunt who taught her this art. She also raises guinea pigs, chickens and sheep, which she sells in her town. And, she grows her own vegetables for her family's use, but sells the surplus in town.

Sylvia is a founding member of the community bank, and has been an active member for several years. This new loan is going to be used to purchase chickens and chicken feed. Her goal is to give her children the best possible education so they can go far in life.
