Jane, aged 31, is married with one child and lives in Kilimani estate, a Nairobi suburb. Jane operates a tailoring business in the city center. Her husband is a businessman as well. She has done this kind of business for the last three years. With this loan, she plans to buy a sewing machine for Ksh 27,000, rolls of cloth for Ksh 20,000, and other accessories for Ksh 3,000. She mainly gets orders from schools within the city center, makes wedding gowns, and does repairs on a daily basis. She has never borrowed from other financial institutions. In the future, she hopes to expand her business and open another branch and create employment for other people.
