A loan of $375 helped to buy more edible products to sell in her shop.

Isabel's story

Isabel, aged 64, is a very energetic widowed mother, living in a house she owns with her daughter and her son-in-law. She engages in retail: she runs one of the busiest shops of her neighborhood, and she has become her neighbors’ favorite thanks to her kindness and the pleasant manners she uses when tending to them. And so she starts tending to her regular customers very early in the morning, and she very much enjoys their company and their conversation. She has been engaging in this activity for more than 17 years, and to her the most difficult part is to keep standing all day long, as she suffers from varicose veins in her feet. For this reason her daughter helps her in the shop, so that she avoids making too many efforts. In the future she hopes to widen her shop’s space in order to have more products to sell. This is her 15th loan with MFP, and she already knows this loan will be very useful for the development of her activity. She is also the leader of her communal bank, and she likes organizing and leading the meetings. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy more edible products, in order to augment her stock.
