Alma's story

Alma A. is from the village of Medallo, Sapang Dalaga. She is 31 years old and single with an infant. To make a living, Alma runs a grocery store. Alma has been engaged in her business for over five years and earns approximately 5,000 Philippines pesos (PHP) a month from it.

In 2008, Alma joined PMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Alma has successfully repaid a previous loan of 40,000 PHP from PMPC. This previous loan was used as additional capital for her business.

Alma is requesting a new loan of 40,000 PHP, which will be used for the expansion of her business. This will be the second loan taken out by Alma from PMPC.
