Jovelyn's story

Jovelyn M., from the village of Brgy. Salamague, Lamut, Ifugao, is 31 years old, married and has three school-aged children. To make a living, Jovelyn has been raising pigs for breeding for over three years and earns approximately 10000 PHP a month.



In 2006, Jovelyn joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Having repaid her previous loan of 15000 PHP from ASKI that was used to purchase breeding livestock, she is requesting a new loan of 20000 PHP to purchase livestock feed and other supplies. This will be Jovelyn's sixth loan from ASKI, and she plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to financially support immediate members of her family.
