A loan of $775 helped to purchase two sewing machines.

Tserendolgor's story

Tserendolgor L., age 60, lives with her family in a traditional housing tent called a ger in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Both of her sons operate their own private businesses, while her husband is retired. Since 2005, she has been operating a felt-manufacturing business, producing a variety of felt slippers in her home. Her business is sustainable now as she produces each pair of slippers at a cost of 1500MNT and sells her products at a price of 3500 and 4000 MNT through her son's stall. Her production capacity is 40-60 pair of slippers per week.

Tserendolgor has received two loans thus far and has proven herself as a trustworthy customer. Very honest and well-organized, she says, " Now, I am planning to open my own workshop and to hire two more workers." She is requesting a 1,000,000 MNT loan to purchase two sewing machines for her felt production.
