María Luisa's story

Maria Luisa, 21, is married and lives with her husband in the Olmos district, an agricultural area which is part of the Lambayeque province, located an hour and 45 minutes from the city of Chiclayo. Seven months ago, Maria Luisa set up a small snack bar where she offers skewered meat, grilled food, dishes made with dried meat, kebabs, beer, and other types of drinks. Her business is located on one of the central streets in her district, and so it always busy with customers who prefer her business because of the good service provided and the delicious flavor of her dishes. The summer season is approaching, and with each day the seasonal heat that is characteristic of the Olmos district is getting stronger. For this reason, Maria is thinking of equipping her business to sell ice cream. To do this she is requesting, for the first time, a loan with Edpyme Alternativa for 2,000 Peruvian soles. Maria Luisa is a woman who is quite enterprising and hardworking. Her main desire is to continue to make her family secure and strengthen her business. In this area, she is a person who is well-liked and respected.
