Katherin Priscila's story

Katherin C. is a member of the Feria Libra village bank who lives in the city of Cuenca. The city is know for the cultural richness of its people, its beautiful historic center, the variety of places to visit and the large variety of great restaurants to enjoy.

Katherin is 18 years old and lives with her partner with whom she has a 3 month old baby. Her husband helps her to raise their child and works as the doorman at a school. They live in a home that her brother has lent them.

For the past year, Katherin has worked selling clothing; she sells all kinds of clothes and shoes. She works Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and does not have a fixed schedule. Besides all these activities, she also studies nursing at the university.

This is the second loan she is receiving through the village bank and she will invest it in buying more shoes and clothes to supply her business.

Her goal is to build a house on her own property.
