A loan of $200 helped buy materials to plant corn and beans.

Pedro Antonio's story

Pedro is a 46 year old farmer. He lives with his wife and mother in the Usulután department.

He has been a farmer for ten years. His harvest helps pay for some household necessities.

He is accustomed to planting a block of land, which is divided in half for growing corn and beans. He works with a cousin.

Pedro is requesting a loan for planting this year. He does not have the materials he needs to do this work. This will help him be able to continue with his crops, and it will help his family have enough food. Nonetheless, it is a risk because there has been a lot of rain in the past months. This could damage his crops.

Pedro plans to punctually pay off this loan, to keep receiving this help, to give his family the food they need, and to improve his family’s living conditions.
