Simon's story

Simon O. K. is a married man. The wife is a farmer and they have seven children whom they hope to givea quality education to the university level. His business is located near Docks Station at the port of Mombasa. He is a newspaper vendor. Mombasa is the coastal region of Kenya and is well known for its many many tourist attraction sites not forgetting the Indian ocean's white beaches. He has been selling newspapers to the local people especially those employed and others in business. He has been in this business for fourteen years now and he says that this business is profitable. His major challenge is lack of enough capital. However, he works hard from early morning to late evening to keep his business doing well. He is using his loan of kes 25,000 to continue expanding his newspaper business. He hopes that one day he will be a big newspaper and magazines distributor. He describes himself as honest and trustworthy.
