The Collpani Community Center is located in one of the most remote areas in the region and hosts more than one hundred Communal Associations. One of the oldest is “Gotitas de Agua” (Water Droplets), which has completed 21 loan cycles in the program. The group is currently in loan cycle #22 with eight members, seven women and one man.

The Board of Directors for this group consists of Sra. Sonia (President), Sra. Elsa (Treasurer), and Sra. Carmen (Secretary). The treasurer, Sra. Elsa, has participated in the programs of Pro Mujer for five years. She says she joined the organization after being invited by some of her friends. Elsa has been in the business of selling electrical appliances for eight years. Nobody taught her how to operate such a business, so she had to learn little by little. Her first loan was in the amount of 800 BOB, but now she is requesting 2000 BOB. In both cases, her goal was to acquire more merchandise. She conducts her sales in the District of Villa Dolores between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Her husband assists her during the long work day.

When asked what she likes most about Pro Mujer, Elsa says she enjoys having loans for her business. In addition, she states the health clinic is excellent.

There are different businesses represented by this Communal Association. These include retail establishments that sell appliances, sweaters, pork, decorations, soft drinks, and candy.

El Centro Focal de Collpani es uno de los más alejados de la regional, acoge a más de cien asociaciones comunales, “Gotitas de Agua” es una de las más antiguas, cuenta ya con 21 ciclos, programando ya su ciclo número 22, de ocho integrantes siete son mujeres y uno es varón.

La señora Sonia es la presidenta, la señora Elsa es la tesorera y la señora Carmen es la secretaria de actas, las tres conforman la mesa directiva.
La señora Elsa, la tesorera, participa de los programas de Pro Mujer, desde hace 5 años, ella comenta que ingresó a Pro Mujer gracias a la invitación de unas amigas. Su negocio es la venta de artefactos electrodomésticos, desde hace 8 años. Nadie le enseñó este negocio, fue superándose poco a poco. Su primera solicitud fue de Bs 800.-ahora solicitó Bs. 2000.- en ambos casos, su objetivo era la compra de mercadería. Las ventas son realizadas en la zona de Villa Dolores de 9 de la mañana a 6 de la tarde. El esposo es quien le ayuda en esta larga jornada de trabajo.

Cuando se le consulta sobre lo que le gusta más de Pro Mujer, la señora comenta que el crédito para el negocio y también, el consultorio es bueno.

Con respecto a los negocios dentro de la asociación, son variados, entre ellos tenemos: venta de artefactos, venta de chompas, venta de carne de chancho, venta de adornos, venta de refrescos y dulces
