A loan of $375 helped to weed and clean out her cocoa and coffee fields.

Rene's story

Rene is 30 years old and lives with her partner, with whom she has a 5 year old daughter called Mayli. They live in a wooden house built thanks to their own sweat. Rene grows and produces cocoa and coffee in the town of Triboline, in the province of Sivia, district of Huanta.

As she has done over the last 15 years, every morning she goes to work with her husband. They both enjoy working in their farm to improve their production; with their own hands they better the fruits crop after crop. Even if the lack of support bothers her, she is not afraid of problems. Her work is quite profitable. The fruits are taken to the collection centre in her community, where she gets a good price for them. Her plans for the future are to expand his business and to improve her financial stability, and she knows she will have to work twice as much to get it.

This is her third loan with MFP. She promises that she will continue to repay it on its due dates. She enjoys working with ther loan group because she gets moral and financial support. She will use the one thousand soles requested for the improvement and upkeep of her cocoa and coffee plantations.
