Haleluya Group's story

Genrose N. is in her late 40s and is widowed with three children. She has been running a charcoal business for the past five years. Her business is open between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily and earns Genrose a good monthly profit.

This will be Genrose's third loan with Tujijenge Tanzania. She used her previous loans to increase her stock of charcoal in order to meet the demand of her clients. Genrose aims to use her third loan to once again increase her stock of charcoal.

Genrose will share this loan with her loan group Haleluya, which totals 21 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for repaying the loans.
