Haguruka Group's story

Aline M. is a woman merchant, aged 32, who lives in the Musaga districts of Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi. There in Musaga, she runs a grocery store. This is a trade that she has been working at for eighteen months. She has attended the 9th grade. Her husband has attended the 10th grade. He is a chauffeur.

Aline is the mother of three children who are in primary school. She is asking for a Kiva loan in order to make a change to running a restaurant business but also to continue with her shop by buying large amounts of food products to resell to customers. Thus, she will be able to increase her savings. She has preferred to ask Turame for a loan because it would be easy for her repay.

Through the business she started, she has a dream to lead a better life together with her family.

She is a member of the community group "Haguruka".
