Analiza's story

Analiza B. is from the village of San Francisco, Cauayan City, Isabela in the Philippines. She is 32 years old and married, with 3 school-aged children. To make a living, Analiza makes and sells "puto" (rice cakes) and other delicacies. Analiza has been engaged in her business for more than 3 years and earns approximately 5000 PHP a month.

In 2008, Analiza joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Analiza has successfully repaid a previous loan from ASKI, which she used to purchase raw ingredients. Analiza is requesting a new loan of 13000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional inventory and as working capital. This loan will be the 6th loan taken out by Analiza from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to supplement her family's income.

About ASKI:
ASKI is one of the most successful microfinance institutions in the Philippines. It has 29 branches covering the Central and Northeastern areas. Its clients are mostly farmers, fisherfolks and small entrepreneurs.
