Luis's story

Luis is a 38 year old father who lives with his wife and young children in the village of San Antonio, a rural area that is part of the agricultural district of Mochumí. This community is part of Lambayeque Province and located approximately an hour away from the city of Chiclayo.

Luis has been a farmer for more than fifteen years. He has land on which he grows different types of grain. In addition, he raises small animal such as sheep and sells them to local merchants. Luis also works as a laborer at the nearby farms where he helps with the legume and vegetable crops.

Luis wants to continue his business of raising and selling animals so that he can have a more stable income. His other jobs only provide seasonal income. For this reason, he has decided to acquire more animals and balanced feed to accomplish his goal. Since he does not have sufficient capital to take further action, Luis decided to apply for his first loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1000 PEN.

Like most of the villagers in the area, Luis is a hard worker who knows how to manage his crops. He does his best every day to succeed on behalf of his family and provide them with a better quality of life.
