A loan of $300 helped purchase fish, chicken, corn, and condiments.

Elisa Abigail's story

Elisa is 25 years old and engages in the sale of fish and tamales. She lives with her parents and three siblings. Elisa is also a single mother with three children (ages 9, 7, and 5) who are solely dependent on her income. She started this business because her sister suggested that she do so and now she also sells fish. Elisa sells fish in the mornings and then sells tamales in the afternoons. She distributes her products in the surrounding neighborhoods every day.

Elisa needs a loan to buy more products. She needs to invest in more fish and ingredients for making tamales such as corn, chicken, and condiments. Elisa wants to increase her sales to provide what her children need. Her plans are to grow her business, have an established location where she can sell her products, help her children develop, and be prepared for improving her financial situation.
