Nieta Group's story

The women of the Nieta group are all married with four children, around 41 years old and live in large extended families in the village of Marka-Counga in the municipality of Fana, the Koulikoro region (the second largest administrative region of the Republic of Mali). They met through friends and family and are involved in foodsales and selling clothes, cereal and condiments. Fanta O. aims to use her loan in order to purchase clothes for a variety of people. She sources her goods from Bamako and Burkina Faso and sells them from her home or through door-to-door sales through cash and credit sales to a customer base made up of men and women. She aims to generate an average monthly profit of 50,000 FCFA which will be used to meet her family's needs and to invest in her business.
