A loan of $550 helped purchase bags of fertilizer to use on her farmland.

Nancy's story

Nancy, 55 years old, is married and has one daughter, Karina, who is 20 years old. They live together in the beautiful Ayacuchana rainforest, located in the village of Triboline, where Nancy has her own home. When she was 10 years old, she liked to help her parents with whatever work they had; she also liked the countrysiD. and identified with it, but she never imagined that she would follow in her parents' footsteps. Now, she works in the production and sales of cacao, a business which is going very well for her. She has a number of customers who purchase her products from her wholesale. In addition to this, she also has a bakery, which she is establishing little by little by trying to always keep it stocked with products. Her greatest longing is to acquire more farm land, which her husband can work, while Nancy (also) wants to install new appliances in her bakery so she can progress in this business. This is her thirteenth loan through Kiva partner MFP, for which she has promised to continue paying on a regular basis. She is also convinced that she will get far with her communal bank. With this loan that she is soliciting, she is thinking of investing in the purchase of supplies and fertilizer for her cacao plantations.
