Lima, Peru / Personal Housing Expenses

A loan of $900 helped purchase materials needed to put a roof over part of his house.

Ciro's story

Ciro is 47 years old and a dedicated father. He lives in his own home with his wife and five children. Ciro has a great amount of responsibility since he holds down two jobs. At night he works as a security guard at a textile factory and then he provides public transportation services during the day. Ciro believes it is important for his children to finish high school so that they can later pursue a profession. This drives him to work hard and put in long hours. Ciro enjoys working, so his neighbors look to him to provide any services that they need to have performed so that he can earn some extra income. He wants to build a house and plans to equip several of the rooms so that they can be made available for rent.

Ciro is taking his fourth loan with MFP. He promises to continue submitting each of his payments on time so that he can be eligible for subsequent loans. The loan he is requesting will be used to buy iron bars, cement, and other construction materials so that he can install a roof over part of his house.
