Va's story

Va N., 34, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia, an area known for rubber plantations.

She sells vegetables and clothes for an income of approximately $10 per day. Her husband is a farmer, earning an income of about $5 per day. Every month the family has to spend $70 on food, $10 on electricity, $30 on their children's education and $10 on transportation.

N. is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase vegetables to resell. In the future, she would like to use any additional profit to repair her house. This is her third loan from CREDIT, a long-standing Kiva partner in Cambodia.
