Nemicia's story

Nemicia is 61 years old, and lives with her husband and 3 children in her own home. She grew up learning to farm, and she liked to help her parents with their farming chores. Time passed, and she now works with her husband, growing corn and potatoes, which helps her with finances and her children’s upbringing. She states that she enjoys the work, that it is all she has known since childhood. Because she is good at what she does, she has been able to support herself. She also raises cattle and sheep, which she calls a reliable business. She sells animals each month, generating steady earnings. Because she is highly committed, she plans to grow larger quantities in the future, and also to buy more cattle. This is her third loan with MFP, and she is happy to know that she has financial support. She has always been consistent in making her payments, and she enjoys belonging to her communal bank, because all the members are reliable and support one another. She thanks those who make it possible to have the loan, which will serve her in growing her business. She will use the loan to purchase bags of fertilizer, seeds, and will also hire labor to help her with the planting.
