A loan of $1,075 helped bUYING SACKS OF MANURE TO FERTILIZE HER CORN FIELDS.

Nelida's story

Nelida is 28 years old and lives in her own house with her husband and their 3 children. This struggling woman sows corn. When she was very young she learned the technique, taught by her parents and brothers. Each day she gets up at sunrise to head to her agricultural fields to watch out for plagues of insects or bad weather that may harm the development of her crops. Although it is very hard work for a woman, Nelida says that she likes it very much and she's motivated by the desire to advance her children. At harvest time, her produce sells very well, and with the money she receives, she can provide support and education for her children. In the future, she plans to sow a larger quantity of corn and contract the services of day laborers to obtain better earnings. This is Nelida's 3rd loan with MFP. She is very content to know she has this financial help. Nelida has always been very responsible with her payments and is pleased to be part of a communal bank, because all the members are responsible and very supportive people. Nelida also wishes to thank everyone who supports her loan, which will be very useful in her business's progress. With this loan she will buy sacks of manure for we are now in the heart of planting season.
