A loan of $1,075 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Ernestina's story

Ernestina, 32, lives with her husband and two children in her own house. From a very young age she has been a farmer. She learned all the skills watching how her parents and siblings did things, planting the soil with much care. Now, together with her husband, she continues in the same activity. They both plant corn and potatoes. They care for the soil so that production will be assured because they must be able to sell everything to the wholesalers who come by their fields to gather the merchandise.

She says she is content because she has good profits and that’s why she enjoys the work so much despite the long hours in the fields. The effort is gratifying as long as she can see her children get ahead.

At the same time she raises cattle and pigs for subsequent sale in the area livestock fairs. She is planning to plant more corn in the future because its market price is regular. She also wants to buy more heads of cattle.

This is her third loan with MFP and she is happy to know that she can count on financial support because she has always been responsible with her repayments. She is pleased to be part of a communal bank because all the members are responsible and mutually supportive people.

She is grateful to all the people who will fund the requested loan that will be very useful for her business’ success.

She will use the requested funds to buy sacks of manure for the upcoming planting season.
