Alba María's story

Alba Maria is from the town of Carapeguá, San José district. She is 20 years old and has a young son.

She tells us that she started working as a salon assistant at 15 years of age. That served her as practical experience. She started buying basic salon tools in installments with her income thinking about having her own salon which is a reality today. Thanks to her sacrifice and dedication she has an established clientele and many equipment of her own.

She thanks Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva for the opportunity to receive a loan to promote her professional growth day by day. This will be possible by increasing her business through purchasing tools to facilitate caring for her clients such as hair color, make up, manicure and pedicure equipment.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Betyna Almeida-Covarrubias.
