Depend On God Group's story

Fatu F., who is holding the sign, is the leader of this group of five borrowers called Depend On God. She is 48 years old, widowed and has five children whose ages are between 10 and 22 years. She was only able to attend school through twelfth grade due to a lack of financial support.


For 20 years, Fatu has been selling socks and earrings in downtown Monrovia, Liberia. She plans to use her 16,250 LRD portion of this 81,250 LRD group loan to buy more socks and earrings. She describes herself as a hard-working woman whose dream is to improve her business and continue her education.
