Oscar's story

Oscar P. J. is from the village of Lactawan, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. He is 29 years old. Oscar is married and has two school-aged children. To make a living, Oscar plants and harvests rice for sale. Oscar has been engaged in his business for over seven years and earns approximately 45000 PHP per harvest.

In 2007, Oscar joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Oscar has successfully repaid a previous loan of 25000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase fertilizers such as manure.

Oscar is requesting a new loan of 30000 PHP which will be used to pay for services to increase crop yield. This loan will be the 7th loan taken out by Oscar from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of his family.
