Kledyn Yolibeth's story

Mrs. Kledyn Yolibeh R. F., 24, is a single mother of two children. She sells tamales, sausages, chanfaina (a stew-like dish made with offal) and frito de cerdo (fried pork with rice or yucca). She has been in this line of work for five years.

Kledyn rises early in the morning every day to prepare the meals and then goes out to sell them in the afternoon in San Lorenzo’s old market. Thanks to her business she is able to support her two children.

She will use the loan to buy corn flour, banana leaves, firewood, pork and chicken, fried pork skin and other supplies for her tamales.

Her greatest wish is to have her own home where her children can grow up healthy.
