A loan of $1,125 helped shelves and display cases.

Sixta Tulia's story

Sixta Tulia F. lives in the San Roque neighborhood, where she has a drug store called “Farmacia Sixta.” She started three years ago so that she could increase her household income, because she works with her husband, who knows the pharmacy business very well and has 20 years experience. They sell medicine at retail and their store is located in an area of their home. Both she and her husband provide services there.

This will be her first loan through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, an organization to which she was referred by a neighbor, and through which she has requested a Kiva loan to buy shelves, display cases, and additional merchandise. Her dream is to expand her pharmacy because she wants her children, ages 12 and 14, to complete a good quality higher education, through the income that the business brings through this expansion.
