Anonymous's story

This Kiva borrower is a 20-year-old single man from Lebanon. Despite his young age, he has 4 years of experience working with mobile phones. He began as an employee in a mobile phone shop and opened his own store in 2008. With his requested loan of US$ 2000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l., he will increase his merchandise selection and purchase prepaid telephone cards which he then sells. This will be his second loan. The majority of mobile phone users in Lebanon purchase these prepaid cards; it is less common to have an annual phone contract. In the future, he is looking to further expand his business and increase his capital.
