Las Emprendedoras Ii Group's story

“El Comité Las Emprendedoras II” (Committe of Entrepreneurial Women II) is a group of 20 excellent women from the city of Itagua. The group was formed on May 31, 2010.

This group formed, because Ms. Marcelina V. went to a loan renewal meeting in her neighborhood to learn more about the “Comité de Mujeres Emprendedoras” (Committee of Entrepreneurial Women) and she got very excited and anxious to work with this program. Now the group is in its second cycle of the program.

Marcelina has a food stand where she sells fast food and lunches. She also sells carbonated drinks, soft drinks, juices, etc. It’s in a good location and she has steady and occasional customers.

Because of the demand for her products, and thanks to their quality, healthiness, and good customer service, she wants to lower her costs by buying ingredients in quantity, such as beef, poultry, pork, vegetables, flour, noodles, etc. This will help increase her profits. She also wants to expand the variety of drinks that she offers.

This way she can increase her income and continue to grow within the food industry.

In this group: Marcelina, Dionicia, Abelarda, Mirta, Marta, María, Darlis, Ana, Lidia, Porfiria, Lidia, Elvira, Francisca, Jorgelina*, Alicia, Clemencia*, Mirna, Emilce, María, Cármen*
