Kabingo Tweyombekye Women's, Rukungiri Group's story

K. Oliver is a hard working business lady. The 38 year old married mother of 5 children, some of them still attending school, sweats her guts out selling agricultural produce of maize, millet, beans, and coffee in a small rural area of Rubumba, Rukungiri. She has been doing this business for the last 6 years. She started with little capital but with inspiration from her mother-in-law. She gets many customers who buy her products for food consumption like hotel owners.

She is able to make an average profit of 160,000 Ugandan shillings monthly. This is a fair earning by any standards, and she requires a loan that will help her buy more food supplies for the business. Then she will be able to meet the customers' demands and also get more revenue.

She belongs to Kabingo Tweyombekye Women’s group of members and they insure each other in paying back the loan.
