Santa Rosa De Tambo Group's story

The Santa de Tambo communal bank is beginning its second cycle. The members are from the district of Ayavi. Erika is married and has 2 children, ages 7 and 9, who are still in school. She and her husband produce dairy products (cheeses). She is director of a dairy producers association that produces various products such as cheese, butter, manjar (sweet caramel made from condensed milk, similar to dulce de leche), and yogurt. She wants to strengthen her association. During the time that she has been a member of her communal bank, she has learned to save. With the loan, she improved her business. She is requesting a loan to purchase milk and install her equipment. Erika dreams of educating her children, strengthening her association, and having a retail store in the city of Ica.
