A loan of $1,500 helped to open a mobile phone shop.

Adel's story

Adel is married and lives in Tyre with his wife and 3 children. He is ambitious, and is tired of his van, which he uses for the work he’s been doing since 2000; selling coffee, tea, and hookahs as a peddler, roaming from one village to the other in Tyre. Adel often settles in one location where his regular customers hang out. The quality of his product and his hygiene standards encourage many people, including friends, neighbors, and tourists, to buy his products. Adel has previously dealt with Al-Majmoua and has a good borrowing history. His previous loan had a positive impact on his life, as it significantly improved his financial situation. This time, Adel is planning to open a shop to sell and repair mobile phones, thus increasing his income and first and foremost improving the financial and social situation for his children and family. Adel aims to expand his business in the future to include a small café in which his customers can gather.
