A loan of $375 helped to buy manure and supplies to improve cacao and coffee production.

Feliciana's story

Feliciana, 51, is a widow and has four school age children. They live in Triboline in the Peruvian highland jungle where she has her own house.

Feliciana is a farmer; specifically she grows cacao and coffee to sell. She produces a good harvest thanks to her 24 years farming experience.

She has many regular customers due to the quality and punctuality of her coffee deliveries. Besides, her sales have been improving as years have gone by.

Her children usually help her during their free time but during harvest she hires laborers that make reaping and coffee and cacao gathering easier. The product is later taken to her town’s gathering centers for sale.

Her greatest wish is to continue to expand production so that she can increase income and thus improve her quality of life.

This is her 12th loan with MFP and she commits to continue to pay in a timely fashion. She is satisfied with the good work of her communal bank.

She plans to use the requested funds to buy supplies and manure for her coffee and cacao fields thus generating good productivity.
