A loan of $1,750 helped a member purchase wooden rods for making wall art.

Soñadoras Group's story

The Communal Association “Soñadoras” (Dreamers) is starting its second loan cycle as part of the Santiago II Community Center. They are still considered to be a new group because they have not had the chance to participate in all of the financial services and different experiences needed to unite the members together. For this reason, special care has been taken to provide them with credit counseling.

Sra. Juana is the President of this Association. She says she encountered Pro Mujer as a result from a visit from its staff. Juana has a craft business in which she produces decorative wall hangings. The main material she uses are wooden rods that she buys in the July 16th district. She produces and sells her products from her home according to her orders. When asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, Juana replied that she enjoys the medical services.

The members of the Communal Assocation are involved in different business such as selling clothing, providing electrical services, producing handicrafts, printing, sewing, and selling chickens.

In this group: Juana , Maria Marcelina, Clementina Bertha, Barinia Pamela, Roxana, Johel Alvaro, Daniela Yhedenka, Ana Mariel
